The Father of Boy -- signed open edition prints
Inspired by the thought provoking painting ‘The Son of Man’ by René Magritte. Magritte was a Belgian painter known for his surrealism and his wit. This particular painting was a self portrait of the artist, but a self portrait where the face is obscured. It was part of a series of face obscuring self portraits, but Magritte also used apples in some of his other works as well.
The giclee fine art prints are a lovely textured, matte print on 100% cotton rag paper that very closely resembles a heavy 260 gsm watercolor paper. The artist creates each print by hand using Epson archival ink on acid-free, velvet fine art stock.
Giclee Archival Option: This print is either 8.5x11 or 13x19 in size. It is individually printed by the artist’s own hand using Epson archival quality ink on acid-free cotton paper. This paper is textured, meaning it looks and feels like an original painting. Small white border with a hand painted look. Artist signature is on the lower corner. Frame recommended, but not included.
Cardstock Option: This print is either 11x14 or 12x18 inches in size, which is a common frame dimension in North America and can be easily made part of your framed art collection. It is borderless, and printed on semi-gloss 240 gsm card stock paper. Best of all: It is signed by the artist on the lower corner.
